Our History

GEMCAP® is a minority woman-owned business founded on the pillars of professionalism, transportation expertise, and a genuine passion for logistics.

Founded by Maricelis Montiel after more than 15 years of experience in the shipping industry, GEMCAP® was built with a clear understanding of both sides of transportation — the needs of the shipper and the capabilities of the carrier.

Today, the GEMCAP® team brings more than 50 years of combined transportation experience across rail, bulk trucking, truckload, ocean container, and air freight. Our experience spans a wide range of industries, including chemicals, electronics, and cruise logistics.

From the beginning, GEMCAP® has grown through trusted relationships, hands-on service, and a commitment to finding the right transportation solution while delivering the level of service our customers expect.
